Definition of Vulvitis

Vulvitis: Inflammation of the external genital organs of the female (the vulva). The vulva includes the labia, clitoris, and the entrance (the "vestibule") to the vagina.

A yeast infection of the vulva, for example, is a type of vulvitis.
