Definition of Lennox-Gastaut syndromeLennox-Gastaut syndrome: A severe form of epilepsy that usually begins in early childhood. It is characterized by frequent seizures of multiple types, mental impairment, and a slow spike-and-wave pattern seen on an EEG.
