Definition of WarbleWarble: A small hard nodule produced by the larva of a fly that has penetrated the skin. The warble can be erythematous (reddened). The most common complication is a secondary bacterial infection around the warble. The usual treatment is to extract the larva by gentle pressure and forceps. Last Editorial Review: 6/14/2012
