Definition of Porcine

Porcine: Having to do with swine. From the Latin "porcus" meaning "pig."

Historically, Porcine insulin is obtained from pig pancreas. A porcine skin graft is one in which pig skin is used, such as in surgical treatment of burns or other serious skin injuries.
