Definition of Neuraminidase inhibitorNeuraminidase inhibitor: A drug that inhibits the enzyme called neuraminidase. For example, oseltamivir (Tamiflu), an antiinfluenza agent, acts by inhibiting the neuraminidase enzyme on the surface of the influenza virus.
